The Outreach Pastor leads, trains, and equips Pantano Christian Church and our outreach partners to make a difference in our world by serving locally, regionally, and globally.
Primary Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, mobilize, and equip the Pantano community to use their gifts and talents to serve locally, regionally, and globally
- Communicate Outreach mission and vision to Pantano
- Identify and establish strategic ministry relationships with local, regional, and global partners to provide opportunities for Pantano to serve throughout the year
- Recruit, develop, and lead high-level leaders for each area of outreach
- Create and monitor Outreach annual budget
- Oversee Outreach staff and Difference Makers (volunteers)
- Develop and oversee large serving opportunities (i.e. Serve our city, School drives, Feed my starving children, etc)
Other Duties
- Attend weekly 1:1, team and staff meetings
- Adhere to all church policies and procedures as well as ensure that staff and volunteers comply with guidelines for ministry
- SPOD duties: assigned to be the pastor on call on rotation during business hours and for week-long, 24-hour-per-day shifts
- Work assigned duties during “All Hands On Deck” events such as Christmas and Easter services
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Actively involved at Pantano Christian Church
- 4-year degree or equivalent
- Maintain a deep and grounded walk with Jesus that includes an active prayer life
- Experience in evangelism and discipleship
- Strategic thinker with team leading experience
- Office-related computer skills, including experience with common office software/programs and online applications
- Ability to effectively utilize online communication, email and calendar tools
- Experience with Mac and macOS a plus
- Experience with Google Drive a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel a plus
- General understanding of DMM, CHE, Orality, and church-planting strategies
- Scriptural foundation of missiology
- Solid understanding of God’s heart to bless all the nations. Share God’s passion for reaching the unreached. (Pathways/Perspectives and other missions training helpful)
- International travel and cross-cultural communication skills and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including good public speaking skills
- Ability to work productively without direct supervision; collaborate well with team members, volunteers, and other staff while simultaneously managing multiple projects
