Position Summary: The VEE Pastor will lead and shepherd Venture en Español, the Spanish-speaking community of Venture Christian Church. This pastor will provide leadership, biblical teaching, and spiritual care to help Spanish-speaking individuals and families encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and engage in Venture’s mission to make disciples who make a difference. As a member of Venture’s Executive Team, this leader will contribute to the overall spiritual direction, ministry strategy, and unity of Venture Christian Church, ensuring alignment between Venture en Español and the broader church vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Venture en Español in alignment with Venture’s mission, values, and strategy.
- Develop and communicate a clear vision for reaching and discipling Spanish-speaking individuals and families in the South Bay.
- Serve on Venture’s Executive Team, collaborating with other pastors and directors to ensure a unified ministry approach across all congregations.
- Provide biblically grounded, culturally relevant preaching and teaching in Spanish each weekend in alignment with the teaching ministry of VCC.
- Lead and equip others to teach in small groups, Bible studies, and leadership settings.
- Ensure theological alignment with Venture Christian Church’s statement of faith and teaching philosophy.
- Model and cultivate a culture of spiritual growth and relational discipleship within the congregation.
- Provide pastoral care including counseling, weddings, funerals, and hospital visits as needed.
- Build bridges into the Spanish-speaking community through outreach, evangelism, and service.
- Collaborate with the Local Outreach department to work with reaching and serving local Spanish-speaking populations.
- Support missions and global engagement opportunities that reflect Venture’s heart for the nations.
- Recruit, equip, and empower volunteer leaders for ministry teams (hospitality, worship, groups, care, kids, etc.).
- Mentor and develop emerging leaders and potential future pastors within the congregation.
- Oversee Venture en Español staff, volunteers, and ministry budgets.
- Ensure clear communication and integration with central Venture ministries (Worship, Family, Care, etc.).
- Partner with the Communications Team to effectively reach and engage Spanish-speaking audiences online and in person.
- Work with the Finance Team to ensure proper oversight and management of the VEE budget.

Qualifications – Education, Skills, Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Seminary or equivalent theological training preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in pastoral leadership.
- A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ marked by spiritual maturity, integrity, and humility.
- Strong and growing teaching and preaching skills with biblical accuracy and practical application.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage people, and collaborate cross-departmentally.
- A heart for evangelism, discipleship, and cultural unity within the Body of Christ.
- Spiritually grounded and prayerful leader.
- Relational and approachable shepherd.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in Microsoft and Google Suite, and applicable ministry software.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Able to meet and abide by the church’s policy and procedures, including safety and security.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 25 lbs., open filing cabinets and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.
Work Schedule: Minimum 40 hours. Schedule TBD by Manager. Schedule flexibility to meet position and program requirements. Schedule may change based on ministry and organizational needs.
